An arm lift (brachioplasty) tightens the upper arms to reshape the area from a patient’s underarm to elbow. The procedure generally involves an incision along the arm to remove excess skin and fatty tissue. Combining brachioplasty with liposuction often improves the overall tightness of the arm. Patients well suited for an arm lift include those with loose or flabby arm skin due to weight loss or age.

The Arm Lift Process

Brachioplasty, or arm lift, is a surgical procedure that is used to help remove the excess skin and fatty tissue from the axilla and upper arm. Brachioplasty is not a surgical treatment for being overweight. Obese individuals who intend to lose weight should postpone all forms of body contouring surgery until they have reached a stable weight.
